Three other reasons to consider Healthy Paws over Pets Best:
Three other reasons to consider Healthy Paws over Pets Best:
- While there is no annual limit for Pets Best's most expensive plan, other plans have an annual claim payout limit of $5,000.
- The Healthy Paws plan covers rehabilitative, acupuncture, and chiropractic care. Only the most expensive plan by Pets Best covers these treatments.
- Pets Best has a bilateral condition clause that says if there was a pre-existing bilateral condition, the other side won't be covered. This extends to any condition that might affect one side of the body including cataracts, patellar luxation, and more. The Healthy Paws plan has only one bilateral exclusion for cruciate ligament injuries.
Why consider Pets Best: If you have a pet older than 14 years, Pets Best might be a good option as they will enroll pets at any age. Though the Healthy Paws plan insures pets over eight weeks of age, they must be enrolled before they turn 14 years old. The maximum enrollment age may vary by state.
